New Home Check

Probably the most exciting time for a new home buyer, the PDI is the official start of the new home ownership experience. For months you have been waiting for the day you take possession of your newly built home and it has finally arrived! WAIT. Before allowing for the well-deserved wave of emotion, it is important to have a trained eye take a look at what you are about to sign off on.

New Home Check will:

• meet you on site with the builder’s representative
• walk through the process with you and the builder’s representative
• make comments and notes during every step of the process
• place a proprietary (!) 'sticky note' on each area of concern
• interpret/translate builder speak for you
• take pictures of every step of the process
• instruct on proper use of major shut offs and label if necessary
• enrol you in the New Home Check Homeowners’ Association
• fill out the necessary paperwork (Tarion’s forms) and submit it on your behalf
• retain and file a copy of all documents and photos in a secure, off site safety deposit box should the originals become lost

(If you cannot attend the Pre-Delivery Inspection, we can do it for you! Tarion calls this appointing a 'designate'. There is a little more paperwork to be done but we'll look after that too!)

Off site report preparation time: 2 hours
